How to Uninstall Amazon Assistant on Android

This wikiHow teaches you how to remove Amazon Assistant from your Android phone or tablet. If you don’t want to uninstall the app, you can just disable the add-on in your web browser.

Uninstalling Amazon Assistant

Open your Android’s Settings
. You’ll usually find it in the app drawer.

Scroll down and tap Manage Apps. This may be called Apps on some Androids.

Tap Amazon Assistant.

Tap Uninstall. It’s at the top of the screen.

Tap Uninstall again if prompted.

Disabling the Chrome Add-on

Open Amazon Assistant. It’s the round blue icon with a white “a” and a yellow curved arrow inside. You’ll usually find it in the app drawer.

Tap the gear. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen.

Tap Enable browsers. It’s the first option.

Slide the “Chrome” switch to the Off (gray) position.

Disabling the Dolphin Browser Add-on

Open Dolphin on your Android. It’s the green icon with a white dolphin inside.

Tap the puzzle piece icon. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen. This opens the menu.

Tap ⁝ next to “ADD-ONS.” A list of add-ons will appear.
