This wikiHow teaches you how to switch your Android’s keyboard from its current language to Korean.

Steps

    Open an app that allows you to type. This can be any app that uses the keyboard, such as Messages, the Google widget, or Chrome.

    Tap the typing area. This opens the keyboard.

    Tap the keyboard settings icon. This is usually a gear icon near the bottom of the keyboard. A menu will appear.
    • If you don’t see the gear you may have to long-press a different key to make it appear. For example, if you’re using Gboard, tap and hold the comma to open additional keys, then tap the gear.

    Tap Languages. This opens the keyboard’s language settings and a list of installed keyboards.

    Tap ADD KEYBOARD. It’s the button at the bottom of the screen. A list of available languages will appear.

    Scroll down and tap Korean. A list of layouts will appear.

    Select your desired layout. Swipe left across the options at the top of the screen, then tap the one you want to use.

    Tap DONE. It’s at the bottom-right corner of the screen. The keyboard is now added to your list of installed keyboards.

    Open the keyboard again. Return to the app you were using and tap the typing area to do so.

    Tap and hold the globe key. It’s in the bottom row of keys. A list of installed keyboards will appear.

    Tap Korean. The keyboard is now switched to Korean.
