This wikiHow teaches you how to insert an arrow icon into your text document from the Symbol menu in Microsoft Word, using a computer.
Steps

1Open a Microsoft Word document on your computer. Find the Word document you want to edit in your files, and double-click on its name or icon to open it.
- Alternatively, you can open the Word app, and start a new, blank document.

2Click the INSERT tab. You can find this button next to HOME in the upper-left corner of the document. It will open your INSERT tools on the toolbar ribbon.

4Click More Symbols at the bottom. This will open the full list of symbols you can use in a new pop-up window.

5Click the arrow icon you want to insert. Find the arrow you want to type in the Symbol window, and click on the icon to select it.

6Click the Insert button. This button is in the lower-right corner of the Symbol window. It will insert the selected arrow icon into your document.

7Click the Close button. You can find this button next to Insert on the bottom-right. It will close the Symbol window.
