This wikiHow teaches you how to make your phone's speakers play equal audio in both the right and left speakers (or headphones) rather than outputting binaural sound.

Steps

  1. 1
Open your iPhone's Settings. To do so, tap the grey gear icon on one of your Home screens (or in a folder named "Utilities").
  2. 2
    Tap General.

  3. 3
    Select Accessibility.
  4. 4
Scroll down to the "Hearing" section of options. It's the fifth cluster of options on this page.
  5. 5
Slide the Mono Audio switch right to the "On" position. Doing this will prevent your iPhone's speakers from playing different audio in the left and right speakers.
    • For example, if you have a song that favors part of its instrumental on the left speaker and vocals on the right, you'll now hear all parts on both the right and left speakers.
    • This will also carry over to any headphones or Bluetooth devices you have connected to your iPhone.
