Microsoft Edge offers the ability to limit or block automatically playing videos. This will help keep your web browser silent unless you opt to start a video manually. Be warned, though, that turning off autoplay videos on some websites may cause them to function incorrectly.
Steps
-
1Open Edge settings. To do so, click on the triple dots then choose "Settings".
-
2Select "Cookies and site permissions". This button has an image of a tab with a gear next to it.Advertisement
-
3Select "Media autoplay". This button has an image of a music note next to it.
-
4Change the dropdown from "Allow" to "Limit". This will limit the autoplaying of videos, except in cases where the website will not function correctly.Advertisement
