Switching in a Google App

    Open the Google app you’re logged into. You can switch accounts in any Google app, such as Google Maps, Gmail, or Google Docs. The steps will be similar, but some link names and icons may vary.

    Tap . It’s at the top-left corner of most Google apps. You should now see a menu on the left side of the screen with your profile image and email address at its top or bottom.

    Tap your email address. A list of linked Google accounts will appear.
    • If you see the address of the account you want to use, tap it now to switch. Otherwise, move to the next step.

    Tap Add account. A pop-up message will appear.

    Type the other account’s email address and tap NEXT.

    Type the password and tap NEXT. Once the password is accepted, you’ll be switched to the new account.

    Navigate to https://accounts.google.com in a web browser. If you use Google products (e.g. Maps, Gmail, or Google Docs) in a web browser on your iPhone or iPad, open that browser now.
    • If you’re not already logged in to a Google account, you’ll be prompted to do so.

    Tap your profile photo. It’s at the top-right corner of the page.

    Tap Sign out. If you don’t see this option, tap Manage accounts, and then tap Sign out.

    Type the other account’s email address and tap NEXT.
