    Open Facebook Messenger. The Messenger icon is blue with a white lightning bolt inside it.

    Tap People. It's in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
    • On iPads, this button will be located towards the bottom-right corner of the conversation pane on the left side of the screen.

    Tap Message Requests. It's the icon with a blue speech bubble towards the top of the screen.

    Tap Show All. Doing so will display all the "Filtered Requests," or incoming messages you've received from people that you're not friends with.

    Tap on a conversation to view the message.
