Have you ever wanted to search for a tweet from a specific date? With the Twitter mobile app, there are two ways to search for tweets by date, either by sorting them or searching tweets a specific user and date range. In this article, we’ll show you these two methods to search tweets by date.

Search Tweets from a Specific User and Date Range

    Click on the magnifying glass icon. When you open the app, the Search tab is the second option to the left in the bottom menu. Its icon is a magnifying glass.

    Type the user and dates into the search bar. Use this format to customize your search: from:[user name] since:YYYY-MM-DD until:YYYY-MM-DD. For example, you could search wikiHow's tweets from the past month by typing "from:wikiHow since:2021-11-03 until:2021-12-03."

    Run the search. When you're finished, tap Search at the bottom right of your keypad to see your customized results

Sort Tweets by Date

    Click on the search tab of the Twitter app.

    Type your search in the search bar. Tap the search bar at the top of the screen and type in keywords for the tweets you want to search. For example, if you want to see tweets of inspirational quotes, you might type in “inspirational words” or “quote of the day.”

    Sort your search results by date. Under the search bar, you can choose from different tabs to sort your results. To organize them starting from the most recent, tap Latest.
