1Open Telegram on your iPhone or iPad. It’s the blue icon with a white paper airplane. You’ll usually find it on the home screen.
- Use this method to search Telegram for channels, groups, messages, and users with whom you're not already connected.
- To search for one of your contacts, see Searching Your Contacts instead.

2Tap the Chats tab. It’s at the bottom of the screen.Advertisement

3Tap the search bar. It’s at the top of the screen.
- If you don’t see the search bar, swipe down the screen to make it appear.

4Enter your search criteria. You can use this search bar to search for messages you’ve sent or receive, group names, channels, or anything else on Telegram. A list of matching results will appear.
- For example, if you want to find a new funny channel, you may type funny into the search bar. The search will return results for groups, channels, and users with the word “funny” in their names.
