This wikiHow teaches you how to save a copy of any Google Sheets spreadsheet in XLSX file format, using Android. XLSX files can be opened in Microsoft Excel with no data loss or degeneration.
Steps

1Open Google Sheets on your Android. The Google Sheets app looks like a white spreadsheet table on a green page icon. You can find it on your Apps menu.

2Tap the spreadsheet file you want to edit. Find the spreadsheet you want to save as XLSX on your list of saved files, and open it.

3Tap the ⋮ icon. This button is in the upper-right corner of your screen. It will open your file options on a drop-down menu.

4Tap Share & export on the menu. This will open your sharing options on a sub-menu.

5Tap Save As on the Share & export menu. This option will allow you to save your spreadsheet in a different file format. You'll be prompted to select a file format in a new pop-up.

6Select Excel (.xlsx) on the menu. You will see a blue circle icon next to the selected option.

7Tap OK. This will confirm your action, and save a copy of your spreadsheet in XLSX format. You can find your XLSX spreadsheet on the list of your saved Google Sheets files.
