This wikiHow teaches you how to rotate the value of a cell in Google Sheets when you’re using a computer.

Steps

    Open Google Sheets. Navigate to https://sheets.google.com in any web browser. If you’re not already signed in to your Google account, sign in now.

    Click the spreadsheet you want to edit.

    Click the cell with the text you want to rotate.

    Click the Format menu. It’s near the top of Google Sheets.

    Click Text rotation. It’s near the bottom of the menu. Several rotation directions will appear.

    Select a rotation angle. You can choose one of the directions listed, or click the angle menu to specify an angle in degrees. Once you make a selection, the text in the cell will transform to its new position.
    • If you decide you don’t like the rotated cell value, click the Format menu, select Text rotation, then click None.
