How to Reset Tinder on iPhone or iPad

This wikiHow teaches you how to delete your Tinder account and create a new one from scratch, using an iPhone or iPad.

Steps

Open Tinder on your iPhone or iPad. The Tinder app looks like a white flame icon in a pink-and-orange square. Tinder will open up to the swiping screen.
- If Tinder opens up to your chats list, tap the fire icon on the top-left to go to the swiping screen.

Tap the gray figurehead icon. This button is in the upper-left corner of your swiping screen. It will open your profile menu.

Tap Settings below your profile picture. This button looks like a gray gear icon on the left-hand side of your screen. It will open your Settings menu.

Scroll down and tap Delete Account. This option is located below the Tinder logo at the very bottom of your Settings menu. It will let you deactivate or pause your account on the next page.

Tap Delete My Account on the Deactivate page. This option will permanently deactivate your account, and delete all of your profile information including your bio and pictures.
- Alternatively, you can select PAUSE MY ACCOUNT. This option will make your account undiscoverable by other users, but your profile information will be stored online until you log in again.

Select a reason for deleting your account. Tinder will use this information as user feedback to develop their products in the future.
- Regardless of the option you choose here, you will still be able to delete your account.

Select your exact reasons on the Submit Feedback page. You can tap and select as many items as you want from the list of reasons here.
- Depending on your choice on the previous page, you may automatically skip this step, and see the final confirmation pop-up here.

Tap Submit & Delete Account. This button is at the bottom of the Submit Feedback page. You will have to confirm your action in a new pop-up window.

Tap DELETE MY ACCOUNT in the pop-up window. This will close your Tinder account, and delete all your profile information. A new pop-up will confirm your account is deleted.

Tap OK. This will close the confirmation pop-up, and take you back to the login screen.

Create a new account from scratch. On the login screen, you can select LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK or LOG IN WITH PHONE NUMBER to create a new Tinder account from scratch.
