This wikiHow teaches you how to remove songs from iTunes Match and Apple Music from your iCloud account. Unfortunately, to do this you must also delete the song from your iPhone or computer.

Deleting Songs Using Your iPhone or iPad

    Open Music. It's the app with a musical note on your Home screen.

    Tap Library. It's located in the bottom-left corner of your screen.

    Tap Songs. It's located in the menu at near top of Library.

    Tap and hold a song. An options menu will appear.
    • For newer models of iPhone, tap and hold the song with a little more pressure.

    Tap Delete from Library. The song will be deleted from your iCloud Music Library.
    • If your song has been downloaded to your device already, tap Remove. Then, tap Delete from Library.
    • Songs that are being stored in iCloud but have not been downloaded to your device yet are marked by a cloud symbol.

Deleting Songs From Your Mac or PC

    Open iTunes. It's the icon with a musical note.

    Click Library. It's located at the top of iTunes.

    Click on the drop-down menu. It's located in the upper-left corner of iTunes.

    Select Music.Your music library will appear.

    Click Songs. It's located on the menu pane on the left-hand side of iTunes.

    Ctrl + Click on a song. Doing so will reveal a menu of pop-up options.
    • If you're using a Windows computer, right-click on the song instead.
    • Songs with the a cloud icon next to their name are songs that exist in your iCloud library but not on your computer's hard drive.

    Click Delete from Library. The song will be deleted from your iCloud Music Library.

Warnings

  • Once deleted from your iCloud Music Library, the song will no longer be available on your devices synced with your iTunes Library.
  • If you haven't subscribed to Apple Music or iTunes Match, you don't have access to iCloud Music Library.
