This wikiHow teaches you how to use the UNIQUE function in Google Sheets to remove duplicate cells using an iPhone or iPad.

Steps

    Open Sheets on your iPhone or iPad. It’s the green and white table icon typically found on the home screen.

    Tap the sheet you want to edit.

    Tap a blank cell next to the column with duplicates. A formula (fx) bar will appear at the bottom of the screen.
    • The duplicate cell data will be pasted into this blank cell and those below.

    Tap the formula bar. It's at the bottom of the sheet.

    Start typing =unique into the fx bar. As you type, Sheets will display a list of matching functions below the fx bar.

    Tap UNIQUE. It’s beneath the fx bar. The formula now appears in the fx bar.

    Tap the letter above the column with duplicates. This highlights the column and adds its range to the UNIQUE function.
    • For example, if you tap the B above column B, the formula will read =UNIQUE(B:B).

    Tap the blue check mark. It’s on the right side of the fx bar. The duplicate cells are now pasted into the cells below the one in which you typed the formula. You can now delete the duplicate data from the original column.
