How to Record Google Translate Voice on PC or Mac

This wikiHow shows you how to use Google Translate’s voice input feature to translate your speech into another language.

Steps

    Go to https://www.google.com in your web browser. This will take you to Google's home page.

    Click the Apps

    icon.     This is at the top-right corner of the page and will pull up a menu for different Google apps.

    Click Translate. This will direct you to Google Translate.[1]

    Select the language you'll be speaking. You'll do this by clicking the language name above the left box. If you don't see your language, click the down-arrow above the box to expand a larger list.[2]

    Select a language to translate to. You'll do this by clicking the language name above the right box.[3] Click the down-arrow above the box to expand the full list of languages.

    Click the microphone icon. It's at the bottom-left corner of the left text-input box. This will enable voice input mode for Google Translate.[4]

    Speak the word or phrase you want translated. As you speak, your words will be translated to the selected language in the right box.[5]

    Click the red button when you're finished. This tells Google Translate to stop listening for your voice.
