This wikiHow teaches you how to change your mail settings so that messages sent to your iCloud.com email address arrive on your iPhone immediately.

Steps

  1. 1
Open your iPhone's Settings. It's an app with a gray gear icon on one of your home screens. It may be in a folder called “Utilities.”
  2. 2
Scroll down and tap Mail. It's in the fifth group of settings.

  3. 3
    Tap Accounts.
  4. 4
    Tap Fetch New Data.
  5. 5
Slide the “Push” switch to the On position.
  6. 6
    Tap iCloud.
  7. 7
Select Push. Now when someone sends an email to your iCloud email address, it will be “pushed” to your phone as soon as it's received by the server.[1]
    • If you organize your mail with iCloud filters, you can choose not to push a certain mailbox by deselecting it under “Pushed Mailboxes.[2]
    • Your iPhone can only receive pushed data when it's connected to the Internet.
