This wikiHow teaches you how to import data from one sheet to another in Google Drive for Android.
Steps
-
1Open Google Sheets. It’s the white table on a green background. You’ll usually find it in the app drawer.
- If the data to be imported is in a different file (rather than another sheet in the same file), see Use Importrange on Google Sheets on Android instead.
-
2Tap the spreadsheet you want to edit.Advertisement
-
3Tap the sheet you want to import data to. Sheets are listed along the bottom of the screen.
- For example, if you want to import data from Sheet3 to Sheet1, tap Sheet1 now.
-
4Tap a blank cell. This is the cell where the imported data will soon appear. This opens the function (fx) bar at the bottom of the screen.
-
5Type = followed by the location of the data. The format is =Sheet1!A1.
- Ex: To import the value of B3 on a sheet called Totals, type: =Totals!B3.
- If the sheet’s name contains spaces (e.g. Sheet Name), surrounded the name in single quotes. Ex: =’Sheet Name’!B3.
-
6Tap the blue check mark. It’s at the top-left corner of the sheet. The data from the other sheet now appears in the current cell.Advertisement
