How to Play Beat Shazam on Android

This wikiHow shows you how to play along to the TV show Beat Shazam using an Android smartphone. By syncing the Shazam app with audio to any episode of Beat Shazam, you can have a more interactive experience of the show.

Installing the Shazam App

Open the Google Play Store app
. This is found in the main
folder or in a folder for Google apps and has a white icon with a red, blue, green, and orange arrow in it.

Search for the Shazam app. You can do this by typing the app's name into the
bar at the top of the page. This will pull up a drop-down menu.

Select Shazam from the drop-down menu. This will take you to the page for installing Shazam through the Google Play Store.

Tap Install. This will download the Shazam app from the Play Store and onto your phone.

Syncing the Shazam App to Beat Shazam

Open the Shazam app. This should automatically get it ready for registering audio from Beat Shazam.

Play an episode of Beat Shazam. Make sure the audio is loud and clear and your phone is close to the speaker, so that the Shazam app can detect the music in the show.
- Episodes of Beat Shazam can be found on online streaming services offered by FOX and Hulu that can be accessed with a paid account set up through their services.

Press the Shazam button in the middle of the screen. You'll see this button when you're on the main page in Shazam, and will allow the app to detect audio from the show.

Select Start Game in the Beat Shazam menu. This will sync the Shazam app with the episode of Beat Shazam you're watching and allow you to play the game on your Android device.
