How to Pin on Slack on PC or Mac

This wikiHow teaches you how to pin an item to a Slack channel using Windows or macOS.

Steps

  1. Image titled Pin on Slack on PC or Mac Step 1

    Open Slack. It’s in the Applications folder on macOS, and the

    menu on Windows. You can also sign into your team by visiting its URL in a web browser.

    Click the channel you want to pin something to. Channels are listed beneath the “Channels” header in the left column.

    Hover the mouse over the message or file you want to pin. Four icons will appear at its top-right corner.

    Click ⋯.

    Click Pin to @<channel name>. A confirmation message will appear.
