Imagine this: you get an empty, dented soda can out of a trash bin. You give the can a little shake, and the can starts to re form and pop out the dents. You rub the opening of the can and it seals itself again. You then open up the can and pour some of the soda out to show it refilled itself as well. This tutorial will show you how to do just that.
Steps
-
1Get a thumbtack or a needle (preferably an office thumbtack. They have the nifty handle on the end.
-
2Find a a spot near the top of the can ( I recommend the "N" in nutrition Facts),Now press the thumbtack through the middle of the "N"Advertisement
-
3Let out about 1/3 of the soda from the can Lightly denting the sides.
-
4Take a piece of computer stock paper(can be found at most Walmarts and office supply stores for real cheap)and color a square about 2x2in.
-
5Cut out a shape that is about the same size and shape of the opening.
-
6Slide it under the very bottom of the pop top tab(this will give the appearance of an open can. Even up close about 2-3ft).
-
7Place the gimmicked can inside of a trash bin.
-
8Wait for some participants to walk by, and call them over.
-
9Rummage through the garbage to give it more of a random feel. Pull out the can form the trash bin.
-
10Cover the hole with your thumb. By just slightly shaking your hand will causes the carbonation to expand and fill the can. Causing the dents in the can to pop out.shake it a little.
-
11Rub the opening of the can (the paper) with your fingers.(If your fingers are a little bit damp, the paper top will adhere to your fingers.)rub the paper off and then finger palm it.
-
12Allow paper to fall from finger palm to the ground.
-
13Then all you have to do is open the can and pour out some of the soda.Advertisement
Warnings
- Don't show them the opening for too long. If you do, they will see the paper. Thanks!
- Avoid spikes. Because a spike can cause a backfire of soda. Covering either you or your participant. Thanks!
