This wikiHow teaches you how to extract and view the contents of a XIP archive file to any folder on your local mobile storage, using Android. XIP files are digitally-signed Zip archives, and you can find a variety of free or paid unzipper apps on the Play Store to convert or extract them.

    Open the 7Zipper app on your Android. The 7Zipper icon looks like a metallic zipper on a green folder. You can find it on your home screen or Apps menu.
    • If you're prompted, tap ALLOW to give the app access to your files.
    • If you see any pop-up apps, tap the "X" at the corner of your screen or the CLOSE button.
    • If you see any tutorial screens popping up, tap STOP to close them.

    Find your XIP file in your folders. Use 7Zipper's in-app file navigator to locate your XIP archive.

    Tap the XIP archive you want to extract. Tapping will open a new pop-up, and prompt you to select a target folder for file extraction.

    Tap the folder directory drop-down at the top (optional). If you want to change the target folder for extracting files, tap the drop-down at the top, and select a different directory.

    Select a target folder for extraction. Find and tap the folder where you want to save the extracted files from your XIP archive.

    Open XZip on your Android. The XZip icon looks like a white "X" in a green circle. You can find it on your home screen or Apps tray.
    • When you're prompted, tap ALLOW to give the app access to your files.
    • When you're prompted, tap ACCEPT in the "App Privacy Statement" window to agree to XZip's privacy terms.

    Find and tap the XIP archive you want to open. You can navigate your files in XZip's file navigator, and tap your XIP file to see your options.
    • Tapping will open your file options in a new pop-up.

    Tap Extract here in the pop-up window. This will extract all the files in your Xip archive, and save them to the same location as the original XIP file on your computer.
