Waking up in the morning with a puffy face is pretty common. Luckily, there are lots of easy ways you can reduce the swelling! In this article, we'll walk you through several tips and tricks you can use to un-puff your face before you head out for the day. At the end, we'll touch on some lifestyle changes you can try to prevent face puffiness in the future!

1If you tend to wake up dehydrated, that may be causing your puffy face. Dehydration can make your eyes especially puffy! Downing 1 cup (240 mL) of water first thing in the morning can help rehydrate you and reduce swelling.[3]

Apply moisturizer or face oil first, then use your fingertips to gently massage your skin in circular motions, moving upward and outward from the center of your face.
