Rearranging the Order of Tasks

    Open Gmail in your internet browser. Type mail.google.com into the address bar, and press Enter or Return on your keyboard.
    • If you're not automatically logged in, sign in with your email or phone, and your password.

    Click the Google Tasks icon on the right sidebar. The Tasks icon looks like a blue circle with a yellow dot and a white diagonal line. You can find it below your profile picture near the top-right corner.

    Click and hold the task you want to move. It will lift up from the list.

    Drag the task to its new location on the list. You can move a task up or down on your current list, and change the order of all the tasks here.

    Select the list you want to move this task to. Click on a list name here to instantly move your task to another list on your account.
    • You can switch between your lists by clicking the downward facing triangle next to the name of the list you're currently on. A dropdown menu with all of your lists should appear, and you can select the one you want to view.
