The Alexander cocktail, made popular in the 20th century, has mysterious origins and many rumors surrounding where it was created. Though how to make it is no secret and you can start at step one to learn how to make this creamy delicious treat.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces cognac (Any other brandy will work)
- 1 ounce of Dark creme de cacao
- 1 ounce of Cream
Steps

1Pour the cognac into a cocktail shaker.

2Add the dark creme de cacao to the shaker.

3Add the cream to the shaker.

4Fill to the top with ice.

5Shake well. Lift the cocktail shaker and shake side to side vigorously for 15 seconds.

6Strain. Using a bar strainer strain into a cocktail glass.

7(Optional) Garnish with a pinch of nutmeg.
