A steamer is an easy, delicious, milk based drink that can be very relaxing after a hard day, without the amount of caffeine in coffee and hot chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) milk
  • 2 tablespoons (25g) granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon or few drops vanilla extract, to taste

Steps

  1. 1
Measure the milk and put it in a heat and microwave safe measuring cup or mug.
  2. 2
Microwave the milk for approximately 1 minute 30 seconds, depending on your microwave. You want the milk to be hot, not just warm, or it won't dissolve the sugar.

You can most certainly put it on the stove. The biggest thing to consider is how easily milk will burn or curdle on the stove, so you'll have to watch it pretty closely. Steamers can be better when heated on the stove.
