How to Make a Minecraft Tree Trap

If you want to trick your opponents in PVP mode in Minecraft, the tree trap may be of some benefit to you. Use this trap when they need wood. Wood is one of the most useful resources in Minecraft. This will give you an advantage when building this trap.

Steps

Find a tree open in a field near your opponent's base.

Dig a 5x5x2 block area around the tree with the tree in the middle floating.
- It can be even larger if you want to stuff more TNT into the outer edges.

Craft a lever and put it on the underside of the tree trunk and turn it to the "on" position.

Put a piece of redstone directly under the lever. You should see the redstone light up.

Have four blocks of any kind, (portrayed here as pieces of blue wool) surround the piece of redstone.

Put a redstone torch on each block.

Fill in the each of the corners with three pieces of TNT.

Fill in the pit with dirt. Wait for an enemy to chop down that tree and they will get sent fifty blocks into the air!

Observe the damage after seeing their death message.

Warnings

Set this trap at least more than twenty-five blocks away from your base or else it will blow up your base along with your opponent.

Do not click the lever or break the tree block after rigging the trap. It will explode as the torches will turn back on.

Do not place TNT in the empty blocks directly next to the wool. The redstone dust has primed the wool blocks, and the trap will explode with you in it.

Be careful around the trap at night, as creepers could set it off if you are not careful.

Being caught setting this trap may get you banned for griefing, or killed by your target.
