  3. 3
Place your stick of butter in a medium saucepan and let melt. Once butter is melted add in one cup of packed brown sugar, stir until combined and both ingredients are thoroughly melted to create a caramel.
  4. 4
Wait until the butter and brown sugar has become a caramel topping. Slowly begin to pour the caramel over the sheet of crackers. Carefully spread evenly to the edges, making sure to cover all the crackers.
  5. 5
Place the caramel-covered crackers into the oven, 3-4 minutes, or until the caramel starts to bubble. By now, the oven should be heated to 400ºF/205ºC. Keep an eye on this because it happens quickly.
  6. 6
Remove the baking sheet of caramel crackers from the oven once the caramel has started to bubble. Sprinkle ¾ cup of chocolate chips over the caramel layer and place back into the oven. Leave in the oven for 2-3 minutes or until you start to see the chocolate chips soften.
  7. 7
Remove the baking sheet and turn off the oven once the chocolate chips have melted. Start spreading the melted chocolate chips over the later of caramel and crackers, making sure to get the whole surface covered.
  8. 8
Place the baking sheet in the fridge for an hour to let the layers solidify. Then break apart, serve, and enjoy.
