This wikiHow teaches you how to select and make images, documents, or other files on your Drive account available for offline access, using Android. You will not need an internet connection to view files made available offline.
Steps

1Open the Drive app on your Android. The Google Drive icon looks like a colored triangle with yellow, green, and blue edges. You can find it on your Apps menu.
- If you're not automatically logged in to Drive, you will have to sign in with your Google email and password here.

2Tap and hold a file. It will select and highlight this file. A blue checkmark will appear on the selected file's preview image.Advertisement

3Select all the files you want to make available offline. Find all the files you want to make available, and tap each one to select it.

4Tap the three vertical dots icon. This button is located in the lower-right corner of your screen. Your options will pop up from the bottom.

5Slide the Available offline switch to . This will download the selected files to your local storage, and make them available for offline access. You can now view these files on your Android without an internet connection.Advertisement
