Chewy candy is a delicious treat. This is a really simple and delicious recipe which is fun to make.
Ingredients
- 3 cups (675 g; 1 lb 7.8 oz) of sugar
- 6 cups (1.5 litres; 3.1 pints) of cream
- 6 tablespoons of butter or margarine
- 2 teaspoons of flaked sea salt
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla
- 1 cup (250 ml; 8.4 fl oz) of water

1Add the sugar, syrup and water in a saucepan. Bring it to the boil.

3In a large saucepan mix butter and cream.

4Bring this to the boil as well and then let it cool in a fridge.

5Add both the mixtures together.

6Boil them until it reaches 250 degrees F (121 degrees C).

7Put all the mixture into a tray and refrigerate overnight.
