Ingredients

  • 3 cups (675 g; 1 lb 7.8 oz) of sugar
  • 6 cups (1.5 litres; 3.1 pints) of cream
  • 6 tablespoons of butter or margarine
  • 2 teaspoons of flaked sea salt
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • 1 cup (250 ml; 8.4 fl oz) of water

Steps

    Add the sugar, syrup and water in a saucepan. Bring it to the boil.

    Let it boil until the mixture turns a golden colour.

    In a large saucepan mix butter and cream.

    Bring this to the boil as well and then let it cool in a fridge.

    Add both the mixtures together.

    Boil them until it reaches 250 degrees F (121 degrees C).

    Put all the mixture into a tray and refrigerate overnight.
