-
5View the model number. Below the "Model" heading, you'll see a five-character code that begins with "A"
-
6Open Apple's Watch identification page. Go to https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204507 in your computer's web browser.
-
7Search for your Apple Watch's model number. On the Apple Watch identification page, do the following:
- Press Ctrl+F (Windows) or ⌘ Command+F (Mac) to bring up your browser's "Search" bar.
- Type in your Apple Watch's model number ("A" included).
- Look for the highlighted model number on the page.
-
8Review your Apple Watch's model. The title of the Apple Watch, which includes the generation and the Apple Watch's specific model, is above the highlighted number.
-
9Discern between similar models. You may notice that two or more Apple Watch models have a highlighted model number beneath them; this is usually because a proprietary Apple Watch that comes with preset apps (e.g., Nike fitness apps) is usually identical to another model that doesn't include the same apps.
- If you noticed that your Apple Watch has specific apps or features on it which pertain to the Apple Watch's title on Apple's website, you have the proprietary model.
