How to Keep an Android Screen on

This wikiHow teaches you how to use Stay Awake mode on an Android to keep the screen on at all times. You must enable Developer Options on the phone or tablet to access this feature.

Enabling Developer Options

Open your Android’s Settings
. You’ll usually find it on the home screen, in the app drawer, or in the notification tray.

Scroll down to About. This may be called About Phone or About Device on some Androids. You’ll usually find it near the bottom of the menu.

Locate the “Build number.” If you see it on the current screen, you can skip to the next step. Otherwise, it may be in a menu called Software information. If you don’t see it there, tap More.

Tap Build number 7 times. You will see a confirmation message that says “You are now a developer!”^{[1]

Open your Android’s Settings
. If you’re in a different menu in the Settings app, tap the back button until you’re back at the main menu.
