    Scroll down and tap Apps on the Settings menu. It will list all of your installed apps.
    • Depending on your version of Android, this option may also be named Applications or Application manager.

    Find and tap the app you want to stop. This will open the app's info page.

    Tap the Force stop button. This button is listed under the app name on the info page.
    • You will have to confirm your action in a new pop-up window.

    Tap Force stop or OK in the confirmation pop-up. This will stop and close the selected app.
