How to Install Telegram Themes on Android

This wikiHow teaches you how to download and apply a custom Telegram theme from the Desktop Themes Channel, using Android.

Steps

Open Telegram on your Android. The Telegram app looks like a white paper plane in a blue circle icon on your Apps menu.

Tap the white
icon. This button is located in the upper-right corner of your chats list. It will open the Search screen.
- If Telegram opens up to a conversation, tap the back button to go back to your chats list.

Type Themes in the Search bar. Find the Search bar at the top of your screen, and search Themes as your keyword. Matching results will appear below the search bar as you type.

Tap Desktop Themes Channel in the Search results. Find the Desktop Themes Channel on the list below the Search bar, and open the channel. You can find and download a variety of themes from this approved channel.

Scroll up the channel and find a theme you like. This channel regularly posts different themes you can download in the conversation. Scroll up and find the one you want to install.
- Alternatively, you can browse the entire theme catalogue in your browser. Selecting a theme from the catalogue will redirect you back to this channel.

Tap the downward arrow icon next to a theme. This will download the selected theme on your phone or tablet. A document icon will replace the downward arrow.

Tap the document icon next to the downloaded theme. It will let you preview this theme in full-screen.

Tap APPLY. This button is located in the lower-right corner of the full-screen preview. It will install the selected theme and apply it to the Telegram app on your phone or tablet.
- You can change your theme anytime by downloading a new one from the same channel.

How do i make my desktop Telegram theme the same as my custom Android theme?

There is no automatic way as of now. Either you have to do it manually - setting different parameters to match the Android one. This can be done in Telegram desktop app or at themes.telegram.org/theme/. Or you can use the bot: @ThemesPorterBot too but it might not work.
