This wikiHow teaches you how to prevent people from seeing your mutual friends on Facebook on your iPhone or iPad. The only way to do this is to hide your Facebook friends list from everyone and then ask your friends to do the same.
Steps
-
1Open Facebook on your iPhone or iPad. It’s the blue icon with a white “F” inside. You’ll usually find it on the home screen.
-
2Tap ≡. It’s at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
-
3Scroll down and tap Settings. It’s at the bottom of the menu.
-
4Tap Account Settings. It’s the top of the list.
-
5Tap Privacy. Look for the lock icon near the top of the menu.
-
6Scroll down and tap Who can see your friends list?.
-
7Select Only Me. This means nobody else will see your friends list—however, at this point, your friends will be able to see a list of the friends you have in common.
-
8Ask your friends to make the same change in Facebook. Once your friends select Only Me, they’ll no longer be able to see your mutual friends.
