1Open Microsoft Excel on your iPhone or iPad. It's the green icon with an open workbook that has a letter “X” on the cover. You'll usually find it on the home screen.

2Tap the file you want to edit.

3Tap the “A” with a pencil. It's in the green toolbar at the top of the screen. A menu will expand at the bottom of the screen.

4Tap the arrows next to “Home.” It's at the top-left corner of the menu that expanded.
