How to Get the Android Browser to Block Popups

This wikiHow teaches you how to make your Android's browser block pop-up ads. You can block the majority of Internet pop-ups by installing the Brave Browser ad-blocking app, as well as by adjusting the settings of Google Chrome, Firefox, the Android stock browser, and/or Samsung's Internet browser. While turning on pop-up blocking will reduce the number of pop-ups that you see in that browser, it won't eliminate 100 percent of pop-ups. If you're suddenly seeing pop-ups on your home screen rather than in the browser, it's because of a recently-installed app or a virus on your phone.

    • Tap the search bar.
    • Type in brave browser
    • Tap Brave Browser: Fast AdBlocker
    • Tap INSTALL
    • Tap ACCEPT

    Open Brave Browser. Tap OPEN in the Google Play Store once Brave Browser finishes downloading, or tap the lion-shaped Brave Browser app icon in your Android's App Drawer.

    • If the status says "false" instead, your Firefox browser is already blocking pop-ups.
