How to Find a Lost Apple Watch

This wikiHow teaches you how to find an Apple Watch that's registered to your Apple ID account. In order to find a lost Apple Watch, you must have Find My iPhone turned on. You can use the Find My Watch feature on both a paired iPhone and the iCloud website.

Method 1

On iPhone

Open Find My iPhone. Tap the Find My iPhone app icon, which resembles a green radar screen on a grey background.

Wait for Find My iPhone to find your Apple Watch. This may take a few seconds, especially if it's your first time finding your Apple Watch on your iPhone.

Select your Apple Watch. Tap your Apple Watch's name near the bottom of the screen. Doing so prompts your iPhone to search for your Apple Watch.
- This process can take several minutes.
- If your Apple Watch is reported as offline, leave Find My iPhone open for a few minutes—an online Apple Watch can still take two or three minutes to show up as online.

Review the results. You should see your Apple Watch's location on the map.
- You can pinch two fingers together on the map screen to zoom out, or pinch them away from each other to zoom in.

On Desktop

Open the iCloud website. Go to https://www.icloud.com/ in your browser. This will take you to the iCloud login page.

Log into iCloud. Enter your Apple ID email address and password, then click → in the right side of the "Password" text field.
- Skip this step if iCloud opens to a dashboard with several apps listed.

Click Find iPhone. It's in the bottom row of apps on your iCloud dashboard.

Click All Devices. This heading is at the top of the page. Clicking it prompts a drop-down menu.

Select your Apple Watch. It's in the drop-down menu. Doing so will prompt iCloud to begin looking for your Apple Watch.

Review the results. You should now see your Apple Watch's location on the map.
