Create basic facts about your boyfriend. What's his name? What does he look like? Where did you meet him? Etc, etc.

Create an email address for him with Hotmail, for example. This is so that he can 'communicate' with your friends. Reply to the emails yourself.

If possible, get a male friend of yours to impersonate your 'boyfriend'. Have him speak to your friends over the phone.

Come up with a good excuse as to why he can't meet your friends. One example of this would be stating that this false boyfriend is homeschooled and that he isn't allowed to go out during the term, but the pair of you still date over holidays. You can also suggest that you have a long-distance relationship going.

Stage a break up. Before you do this come up with a reason why and who initiated it. Opt for something believable.(Example: Your "boyfriend" cheated on you.) You may want to consider moping around for a few days, anxiously checking your phone for messages every ten minutes.

Don't bring him up and when your friends ask, "How long have you been going out?" say, "Oh, a year" because you probably would have said something by then. Once again, not realistic.
