Google Drive is a file storage service from Google. Its Android app has a dark theme feature. Using the dark theme can be extremely helpful at night to prevent eyestrain. This wikiHow teaches you how to activate the dark theme on Google Drive.

Steps

  1. 1
Open the Google Drive app on your Android device. It's the green, blue, and yellow triangle labelled “Drive” in the app drawer. Make sure that your app is up to date.
  2. 2
Tap on the menu button. It will be located at the top-left corner of the app. A side panel will appear.
  3. 3
Tap on Settings. You can see this under the “Backups” option.
  4. 4
Move to the “Theme” title and tap on the Choose theme option. A dialogue box will pop-up on your screen, after doing so.
  5. 5
Select Dark from the options. When you enable the feature, the white background of the app will turn to a dark grey colour.
  6. 6
Finished. If you want to get back the default theme, navigate to the theme settings and choose “Light” from the options. That's it!
