To enable Do Not Disturb when your iPhone is unlocked, open your iPhone's Settings → Tap "Do Not Disturb" → Slide the button next to "Manual" to the "on" position → Tap "Always."
Steps

1Open your iPhone's settings. It's a gray app, containing cogs, that should appear on one of your home screens.

2Tap Do Not Disturb. It's next to a purple icon containing a moon in the second section of the Settings menu.

3Slide the "Manual" button to the "on" position. Make sure the slider is green. This will allow you to turn Do Not Disturb on and off whenever you need to.
- To schedule specific times for Do Not Disturb to be active, tap on the "Schedule" slider and choose your preferred time range.

4Tap Always. It's near the bottom of the "Do Not Disturb" menu. You can now set your phone to Do Not Disturb at any time, whether it's locked or unlocked.
