How to Embed an Image into a Yahoo Email

Would you like to embed an image into Yahoo message instead of attaching it? You need an image hosting account like Photobucket, Flickr, etc, but it's easy to do! As an example we will embed an animated birthday image.

Steps

Open Yahoo mail, and type up a message for your recipient. Do not close your email window or browser.

Open another browser window. There, sign into Photobucket (or your favorite image hosting program).

Find an image you want to embed, and click on it to open.

Right mouse click on image to get a pull-down menu.

Click on Copy Image option.

Return to Yahoo mail and place a cursor inside a message where you want to place an image.

Press Ctrl+V or ⌘ Cmd+V to paste an image. This image shows how your Yahoo mail looks like after embedding an image.

If you are happy with the result, click Send to send your email.

Short answer: Copy and Paste. Long answer: Compose an e-mail in Yahoo. Leave the cursor where you want to embed the image. Now use your favorite application find the image that you want to embed. On the image file (or icon) right-click to bring up the pop-up menu and click 'Copy.' Go back to Yahoo mail and hold Ctrl and press 'V' to paste the picture into the email. If you Right-Click/Menu/Paste, the paste function is grayed out. Ctrl-V works.
