If you like to use Walkie-Talkies, miss your real Walkie Talkies and have an Amazon Alexa, have no fear! An Amazon Alexa allows you to Drop Into a device (Walkie-Talkie style) which allows you to communicate person-to-person. However, all you have is your iPhone on you, you can initiate one of these calls using your phone too, so you will never need to use another Walkie Talkie again. Find out these details below and leave those Walkie-Talkies behind!
Steps

1Open the Amazon Alexa app. The Alexa app is sky-blue and has a white ring around it which decreases towards the bottom right-hand side. Tap it.
- Login - if you haven't done so already. Use your Amazon account credentials where the Alexa is set up at.

2Tap the "Communicate" tab. This button can be found -wedged between the Home and Play tab. It's icon looks like a giant messaging cloud.

3Choose to Drop In.

4Drop Into one of your Echo devices. Choose the device you'd like to Drop In to. Tap the device from the list of devices at the bottom of the screen below the "Drop In on My Devices" title area.

5Wait for the call to begin. The app begins searching for the device and the circles fill and move on until the call connects. When the call begins, you'll hear a light-hearted airy tone.

6Start your Drop-in Call.

7Talk as you normally would, all without fearing a dropped call Walkie-Talkie call partway through. The other participant should gather near the Alexa device and begin conversing with you there. If you don't hear them, tell them to either speak up or move closer to the device (Echo devices have a hard time hearing what people say from farther distances making communication hard to hear in a Drop In call.

8End your call when you are done using the feature. Tap the red dot at the bottom of the device.
