When you go shopping for clothes, you try on other clothes, but it is very annoying when the clothes you are wearing are hard to get on and off. This guide will tell you what to wear when you are shopping.
Steps
Method 1
Method 1 of 7:Stick with slip-ons (shoes).
-
1It is not fun to take tennis shoes off and then put them right back on, so in the summer, go with flips flops, and in the winter go with slip on tennis shoes with no laces.
- Although you should wear comfortable shoes, make sure you bring a pair of shoes that you're going to be coordinating with the different looks you're trying. [1]

Bring along shoes that match the type of clothes that you'll be trying on. For instance, you wouldn't want to wear a pair of sneakers while you're trying on a suit—instead, you'd wear or bring along a pair of flats, pumps, or loafers. -
QuestionShould I leave long hair down, or tie it up?
Sydneyjane16Community AnswerIt should be up so it doesn't get caught in zippers, buttons, jewelry, or impede your field of vision. -
QuestionHow do I pick comfortable shoes when shopping?
Community AnswerFeel inside the shoe for padding to start. Then, put them on and walk around for a bit. While you have the shoes on, slide your finger into the back of the shoe to see whether or not the shoe will rub against your ankle. Lastly, press down on the toe of the shoe to make sure that they aren't too small. If there isn't any space between your big toe and the toe of the shoe, get a bigger size. -
QuestionMy dad wants me to wear jeans all the time. I HATE jeans. What should I do?
Charli ChopsCommunity AnswerCreate a new outfit that you like, that is appropriate, and that you know he'll like. After you've done that, go up to him and ask if it's okay to wear something else, then show him the outfit. -
QuestionFor my first time shopping, should I stick with boring and normal clothes or should I go out there and wear anything I like as long as it goes together?
Barbie LoverCommunity AnswerIt's best to wear something comfortable, but you can choose anything as long as it is fairly easy to take off and put back on. You will need to try things on while shopping. -
QuestionShould I wear socks when shopping for shoes or buy some when I go?
Community AnswerIt doesn't matter either way, just make sure you wear the same type of sock you plan on wearing normally with the shoes to ensure a proper fit. -
QuestionWhen I first put on shoes, they feel fine, but they start to chafe after about an hour. What should I do?
Community AnswerIf your shoes are chafing your feet, then they're probably too big, causing the heel to slide up and down your ankle. Make sure that when you purchase your shoes, they don't slide on the back of your feet, but they leave a gap between your big toe and the front of the shoe. (You can feel for this by pressing down on the top of the shoe.) You can also ask an associate for help. -
QuestionMy parents do not allow me to wear tops, so what do I have to do?
Community AnswerFind something that you like that isn't a top. This could be a dress, a jumper, whatever you want. Then see if your parents like it. If they don't then try to make a compromise. -
QuestionIs a purse good to keep things in instead of just a backpack?
Mlvl.13Community AnswerIt's fine if you're only shopping for smaller accessories and items that will fit inside your purse. A backpack is best if you're going to buy larger items that you want to store while you continue walking around. -
QuestionMy parents do not allow me to wear short dresses . But I can wear long shirts, so what should I do?
