Drawing a tennis racket is fairly simple: you just have to remember that drawing most objects starts off by drawing geometrical shapes, and later you can start refining the details. Whether you are puzzling over how to draw a tennis racket or just want to check if you are doing it right, this article is for you!
Steps
-
1Draw an oval shape, like an egg standing vertically. This will be the outside of the stringed area.
-
2Draw lines going horizontally inside the oval all the way down, like latitude lines.
-
3Finish the stringed area of the racket by drawing vertical lines all the way across the oval, like longitude lines.
-
4Draw a bigger oval outside of the first oval.
-
5Draw a an isosceles triangle pointing down, so that its base is the bottom of the large oval.
-
6Underneath the triangle, draw a long vertical rectangle. The tip of the triangle should be touching the middle of the line serving as the top of the rectangle. This rectangle will be the handle of the racket.
-
7Draw a diagonal line from the top right corner of the rectangle to a little bit right to the end of the line making the triangle's base, on the right side.
-
8Repeat with the left side.
-
9Erase lines as needed, including the top base of the rectangle, the lines of the large oval in between the right and left ends of the triangle's base, and the diagonal lines you drew.
-
10Color as desired.

QuestionHow can I do realistic shading for this?
Undertale4141Top AnswererTry to determine a light source. If it helps you, draw a dot on the paper where that will be. Shade from that with the lighter parts where the lights source will hit and the darkest opposite of that. Keep in mind texture, reflection, and things like that while doing it. -
QuestionHow do I draw a tennis ball?
Sammi LiuCommunity AnswerSimply draw a circle. Then add a "U" anywhere you want. After that, add in shading, texture and any other details to it. -
QuestionHow do you measure it so it looks proportioned?
Emery CailinTop AnswererThe handle and head portions of a tennis racket are equally long, so once you've drawn one, measure out roughly that long past it, and make a light mark there so that you know where the other should stop. -
QuestionHow to draw a tennis court?
Emery CailinTop AnswererA tennis court is mostly rectangular, with a net down the middle of the long side of the rectangle. Most people would recognize just that as a tennis court, but if you want to add the painted lines that divide it, you can look up a picture to reference off of, or try to find one in a sports book.
