What's missing on that fire truck? A fire symbol! In just a few simple steps, you'll learn how to create a flame form that will look great on any drawing depicting a fire theme.
Steps
Part 1
Part 1 of 2:The Outline
Part 1
-
1Draw a circle.
-
2Draw a skinny triangle that overlaps the circle. Its base should cut the circle in two halves.
-
3Draw another identical skinny triangle for the other half of the circle.
-
4Erase the inner lines and any extra outlines. Smooth the shape a little from the sides. The result should be a "marquise" shape or a double pointed oval.
Part 2
Part 2 of 2:The Inside
Part 2
-
1Draw a smaller marquise inside the one that's already drawn; repeat the same steps for the upper half of the shape drawn.
-
2Draw a semicircle on the preferred side of the smaller marquise. In this case, on the left.
-
3Cut out a piece of the big marquise by erasing the lines shown in red.
-
4Create a smaller marquise shape at the bottom of the larger marquise. Cut out a piece in the same way you did for the larger marquise.
-
5Fill in with color.
-
6Finished.
