The largest animal that exists today is the blue whale, over 30 meters (98.4 ft) and a weight of 180 metric tons. Learn how to draw this huge, majestic sea creature by following the tutorial here.

Steps

  1. 1
Draw three ovals as a basis for the body of your whale. It should resemble an earthworm at this point, with segments connected by guidelines (if you want any).
  2. 2
Sketch small circles for the eyes. They should be located just above the line for the mouth. Draw ovals for the flippers, a small triangle for the dorsal fin, and another set of ovals for the tail fins.
  3. 3
Sketch in a few more details, then outline the drawing. Make sure to include the gently curving lines underneath the whale's face. Erase unnecessary guidelines.
  4. 4
Color in your the whale and you are done. Unlike the name suggests, blue whales are not bright blue; use greys and other pale colors to fill in your whale.
