How to Disable a VPN on iPhone or iPad

This wikiHow teaches you how to disconnect from a VPN server on an iPhone or iPad.

Steps

Open your iPhone or iPad’s Settings
. You’ll usually find this app on the home screen.

Scroll down and tap General. It’s a gray icon with a white gear inside.

Tap VPN. It’s near the bottom of the menu.

Tap the “i” in a circle. It’s next to the name of the VPN.

Slide the “Connect On Demand” switch to Off
. This prevents your iPhone or iPad from automatically reconnecting to the VPN after you turn it off.

Tap the back button. It’s at the top-left corner of the screen.

Slide the “Status” switch to Off
. This turns off the VPN until you manually reconnect.
