How to Disable a Keyboard on Android

This wikiHow teaches you how to disable one of the keyboards installed on your Android phone or tablet.

Steps

    Open your Android’s Settings. It’s the gear

    icon typically found in the app drawer. You may also find it in the notification bar.

    Scroll down and tap Languages & input. It’s under the “Personal” header.

    Tap Virtual keyboard. It’s under the “Keyboard and input methods” header.

    Tap Manage keyboards. It’s at the bottom of the list.

    Slide a keyboard’s switch to the Off

    position.     Once the switch turns gray, the keyboard will no longer be active. You can disable any of the keyboards in the list using this method.
