How to Dial an Extension on a Cisco Phone

    Press Speaker or Headset (if you're using either of those). If you want to use the phone receiver, skip to the next step.
    • On some models like the 7961/62 Series, you can also press the New Call softkey or Line key.

    Dial their extension. You can do this either after you've picked up the headset or before.
    • After you enter the numbers, the phone will call that extension.[1]
