How to Delete a Profile Picture on Facebook on Android

This wikiHow teaches you how to delete a photo you've previously used as a Facebook profile picture and remove it from your profile, using Android.

Steps

    Open the Facebook app on your Android. The Facebook icon looks like a white "f" in a blue box on your Apps list. Facebook will open up to your News Feed.
    • If you're not automatically signed into Facebook on your device, enter your email or phone and your password to log in.
    • If Facebook opens up to a profile page or photo, tap the back button to go back to your News Feed.

    Tap the three horizontal lines icon. It's in the upper-right corner of your screen. This button will open your navigation menu.

    Tap your name at the top of the menu. It will open your profile page.

    Scroll down and tap the PHOTOS tab. It's located between ABOUT and FRIENDS below your name and profile information.

    Swipe left on your screen until the ALBUMS tab. This tab will show you a list of all your photo albums, including Timeline Photos, Mobile Uploads, Profile Pictures, and custom albums.

    Tap on the Profile Pictures album. This album will show you a grid of all the images you've used as your profile picture in the past. Your current profile picture will be at the top of your screen.

    Tap the picture you want to delete. Find the profile picture you want to delete in the album grid, and tap on it to open it in full-screen.

    Tap the three vertical dots icon. It's in the upper-right corner of your screen. This button will open a drop-down menu with options to edit, delete, save, or share your picture.
    • If you don't see this button on your screen, tap the menu button on your Android device. It will open the same drop-down menu.

    Tap Delete photo on the menu. This option will remove this picture from your profile. You will have to confirm your action in a pop-up window.

    Tap DELETE in the pop-up window. It's written in blue letters in the lower-right corner. it will permanently delete this picture and remove it from your profile.
